BRAVE TEXAS ANNOUNCES THE VETFEST 2019 RESOURCE FAIR AND CONCERT
US, Texas, Lindale. (September 28, 2019) – BRAVE Texas announces it is hosting the 2019 VetFest Resource Fair and Benefit Concert in Lindale, Texas at The Cannery. The purpose of the resource fair is to link local service agencies to east Texas veterans and their families. The fair is from 11a.m. to 5p.m. and will include area resources, children’s activities, and local vendors. The resource fair is free to anyone, but the concert is $35, and $25 to verifiable veterans. The benefit concert begins at 6:00p.m. and lasts until 11:00 p.m. Sponsor / VIP tables are available starting at $1000 per table.
The benefit concert lineup consists of Ray Wylie Hubbard, Blacktop Mojo, Canann Bryce. BRAVE Texas will have a silent auction with many items from local artisans.
Tickets can be purchased online at BRAVETX.org, or by contacting BRAVE Texas at 903-316-3274. Veteran tickets will need to contact us so that BRAVE can verify eligibility.
Smith County is home to an estimated 18,000 veterans. The lifetime prevalence rate of PTSD in veterans is estimated to be around 30%. Nationwide, 22 veterans per day take their own lives. In Smith County, approximately 60 veterans per year die by suicide. More information on PTSD can be found at www.ptsd.va.gov.
Texas Music City Grill and Smokehouse, AVCO Roofing, The Cannery Lindale, Woodmen Life and BRAVE Texas invite the public to show support of our veterans by joining us at the resource fair and benefit concert. Proceeds raised will go to benefit BRAVE Texas, a 501c3 nonprofit veteran organization that provides support to veterans here in East Texas. BRAVE Texas was founded by a group of community members with the purpose of providing unmet needs for East Texas veterans. BRAVE Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit veteran organization that is bonded and registered in the State of Texas to solicit funds for veterans in Smith, Van Zandt, Henderson, Wood, and Cherokee Counties.
