Proverbs 19:17 Ministries 8th Annual Home Run 5k

at The Cannery
2019 New Home Recipients Announced

LINDALE, TEXAS (April 17, 2019) – Proverbs 19:17 Ministries will hold the 8th Annual Home Run 5k on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at The Cannery in Lindale. Proceeds from the annual event help support families in need by providing safe, affordable housing.
The recipients of the 2019 home build will be announced at the conclusion of the race and joined by other families who have received homes and paid it forward.
It is the mission of Proverbs 19:17 Ministries to offer a hand up, rather than a hand out to families in the community by providing affordable housing to those who would not have the means to improve their current living conditions. Families are chosen on their level of need, willingness to participate in the “Pay it Forward” program, and partner in the building of their home and subsequent homes.
The “Pay it Forward” program is based on monthly income and allows the recipient to pay a certain portion back into the organization to help fund the next home to be built. This amount is set up as a no interest loan extended over a period of seven years.
The 2019 Home Run 5k is $25 per runner, $10 for the Kid’s Fun Run, and $25 Virtual Runner for those that want to be there in spirit! (Registration info below.)

Koe Wetzel Incredible Music Festival 2019

KOE WETZEL ANNOUNCES HOMETOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL

East Texas Native Partnering With Radio Texas, LIVE! With Buddy Logan

For ‘Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival’

LINDALE, TX – Koe Wetzel, an East Texas native and one of Texas Music’s hottest acts, has announced a hometown music festival in partnership with Radio Texas, LIVE! With Buddy Logan and 101.5 KNUE.

The inaugural Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival is coming to Darden Harvest Park next to The Cannery in Lindale on Saturday, March 23, featuring live music, drinks, food and activities. Wetzel, a native of Pittsburg and a graduate of Pittsburg High School, will headline a four-act music lineup that also features Parker McCollum and East Texas natives JB and the Moonshine Band and Chris Colston.

“I am so excited to be doing this. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, put on my own music festival,” Wetzel said. “And to do it right here in East Texas, where I grew up, I’m pumped. It’s gonna be fun. It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be incredible. It’s going to be my incredible music festival and I’m bringing it home to East Texas!”

Wetzel broke out in the Texas scene after the 2016 release of his album, “Noise Complaint,” and his crowds have never been the same – in Texas and around the United States. Wetzel’s music has more than 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and his top 10 songs have been streamed more than 35 million times. Top hits include “Something to Talk About,” “Austin” and “February 28, 2016.” “Austin” was the third-most streamed Texas/Red Dirt song on Spotify in 2018.

“The underground swell of support this East Texas native has tapped into is amazing, it’s a once-in-a-generation phenomenon. The future is here, and it’s putting on a festival in Lindale this March,” said Buddy Logan, host of Radio Texas, LIVE! “We’ll be doing this every year, but there will only ever be one inaugural Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival, and it’ll be something you tell your kids about. Be there with us. We couldn’t be more proud to team up with the face of the Texas Music’s next generation to bring East Texas one of the biggest festivals it will ever see.”

Parker McCollum is another one of the hottest acts in the scene. Like Wetzel, the Conroe native has consistently sold out shows in and outside of Texas and has nearly 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Each winter Wetzel and McCollum team up for their “Naughty & Nice” acoustic tour, which sells out almost every show.

JB and the Moonshine Band calls Tyler home and has long been one of the most popular acts in East Texas. Behind hits such as “Perfect Girl,” “The Only Drug” and “Beer for Breakfast,” JB and the Moonshine Band have built a massive following since their 2010 debut album, “Ain’t Goin Back to Jail.”

Lindale native Chris Colston is one of Texas Music’s hottest up-and-comers, having released two EPs to widespread acclaim.

“Along with Koe, you couldn’t ask for a better lineup for a first-year event,” Logan said. “Parker McCollum is one of the other huge names in Texas Music’s next generation, and he’s only going to get bigger. And to have these guys alongside East Texas legends JB and the Moonshine Band just makes it even better. Chris Colston is one of those newer names that will be a household name soon enough. Don’t miss this.”

Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival is being produced by Townsquare Media, owner of Radio Texas, LIVE! with Buddy Logan and 101.5 KNUE. Townsquare Media also produces the annually sold out Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in Downtown Tyler each May.

“We couldn’t be more excited about partnering Buddy Logan and Radio Texas, LIVE! with Koe, his band, these other awesome acts and the City of Lindale to bring this festival to East Texas,” festival promoter Chase Colston said. “We’re hoping to continue to build on the success of Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival by bringing awesome new events to East Texas, and there’s no one better to do that with than a fellow East Texas native in Koe. We can’t wait to see the invasion that’s to come on March 23.”

Tickets for Koe Wetzel’s Music Festival are on sale now at KoeWetzelFestival.com. General Admission tickets are $25 and VIP tickets are $75.

Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival is presented by 101.5 KNUE, East Texas’ No. 1 country music station and Radio Texas, LIVE! With Buddy Logan, a Tyler-based Texas & Red Dirt Music radio show that is broadcast in 16 markets in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado and South Dakota. A portion of the festival’s proceeds benefits The Boot Campaign and the Music & Arts Alliance of Texas.
